Highland Acres was established in 2004 and has been servicing the equestrian community around Cincinnati ever since.
Conveniently located within the 275 loop, Highland Acres is an easy commute from downtown and the east side of Cincinnati.

SERVICES AND FEES
BOARDING
Highland Acres Stables is a full care facility with daily turnout (weather permitting). Partial care is considered on a case-by-case basis. Merrily Romohr lives on site and is very attentive. This is a laid back barn with enough of the frills to be comfortable, but not enough to cost more than your rent. We have large indoor and outdoor rings, 17 stalls (10x10 or 12x12, some with attached pasture), 11-12 pastures, plenty of hay, jumps, fans, heated buckets, wash stall, tack room and space for trunks. Hauling is available.
$500-600/Month
RIDING LESSONS
Merrily Romohr has been giving riding lessons for more than 25 years. Hunter/jumper is her specialty, but she can also provide lessons in lower level dressage or saddle seat.
Lessons are typically semi-private and last approximately one hour. Private lessons can be accommodated for an additional fee. We have several lesson horses available on site or you may ride your own mount. We do attend some local shows, but there is no pressure to compete.
$50.00/hr
($40/hr if you're willing to help out around the barn a little)
TRAINING
Horse training is available on site, either with Merrily riding, with in-depth lessons to focus on problem areas or a combination of the two. Since the needs of every horse and rider are different, details of the arrangement will determine the cost of training.
Merrily has worked with horses of all ages and can help you move forward into the discipline of your choosing. She is particularly good at getting the horse and rider to a place where they can be comfortable together.
